TOWN MEETING

On Tuesday, March 6, we all come together to legislate what will happen in our Towns and our schools for another year (you are going to Town Meeting, right?). Most Franklin County communities will have some issue relating to the arts in their Town or school budgets.
While you are there, don't forget to fill out the Doyle poll.
Sen. Bill Doyle has represented Washington County in the Vermont Senate since 1969. He currently serves as the Senate Minority Leader. And since 1969 he has conducted an annual poll at Town meetings across Vermont. This year the questions range from Vermont Yankee's license to cell phones in vehicles to mandated health insurance to your confidence in our systems. He has no "artsy" questions but your answers are important nonetheless.

Margaret Truman, daughter of President and Mrs. Harry S. Truman received the 1924 Baldwin baby grand as a wedding gift from her parents when she married New York Times reporter Clifton Daniel in 1956. Her youngest son Thomas and his family presented the piano so "it could be used to teach and be played by those with her same passion for music." The piano will be maintained and used on a regular basis by the VYO Chorus and the Vermont Youth Concert Chorale, their accompanist Annemieke Spoelstra, and choral conductor Jeffrey Buettner.
The VYO has requested all attendees reserve a seat. Email with your name and the number of people in your party. Admission is free and donations are most welcome at the door.
