STILL SUMMER

A TV weatherman called Saturday "the unofficial last day of Summer." I don't think so. The Vermont summer season begins on Memorial Day weekend and ends sometime after Labor Day weekend, so I figure we have at least another week for summer music.
Indeed, Summer Music at Grace features Chasing 440 chasing great bluegrass on Friday at 7:30 p.m. The band is David Benway, guitar and vocals; Arnold Royea, fiddle; Michael Ryan, banjo and vocals; and Michael Fortin, mandolin. Their sets include 9 Pound Hammer, 30 Years of Farming, and That Bluegrass Music.
Grace Church is located at 215 Pleasant Street, Sheldon. The suggested donation of $15 benefits the performers. Click here for more info about Chasing 440. Call 802.326.4603 or click here for info about the music at Grace Church.
"We will be donating all the proceeds to the Food Shelf," Mr. Royea said.

This event is designed for families with children ages 3–12. All events are free.

CORRECTION: Last week, I wrote that Marko the Master Magician would appear at Chow Bella. Marko is indeed a good show, but I got the date wrong. Marko will next perform a full dinner show on Thursday, September 27.
      I apologize for the confusion.
