ENOSBURG FALLS--The Artist In Residence Gallery features different artists each month. In June, the spotlight is on Toby Fulwiler, Deb Kiel, and Wayne Tarr and will also feature hand painted items such as sap buckets, pots and berry baskets in honor of National Dairy Month and the Vermont Dairy Festival in Enosburg next weekend. The A.I.R. gallery hosts a free meet-the-artists reception with refreshments on Sunday from 1 - 4 p.m. The exhibit continues through the end of June.
The Artist in Residence art cooperative features paintings, fiber arts, stained glass, sculpture, lamps, pottery, folk art boxes, scarves, hats and more by 45 Franklin County and surrounding area artists. It is owned and operated by the artists and sponsors. The gallery is open Wednesday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. plus the first Sunday of each month, noon to 5 p.m.

A week in which Bakersfield mando magician Will Patton pops up all over. ON STAGE LIVE
ST. ALBANS--The special duo, James and Jess, plays the Twiggs window in a free show on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
Twiggs offers Music to Dine By with relaxed music and the arts. They have three stages with live piano, violin, or light guitar any day of the week in the dining room, the Window, or the main stage. The Cabaret offers live performances by musicians, visual artists, poets, and more. The regular Open Mic Night repeats next Wednesday and on the first Wednesday of every month. Their Open Comedy Night for comics 18 and older is held on the third Tuesday of every month. Dayve Huckett is live on the guitar on the first and third Saturday, and they have additional performances by Abby Road, Bobby Cee, Mint Julep, Sean Ashby, and Sean Casey.

BURLINGTON--The 31st anniversary Discover Jazz Festival fires up the Queen City starting today and continuing through June 8. Look for Tony Bennett, Regina Carter, Ron Carter and Benny Golson, Big Chief Donald Harrison, and more than 100 other well known national and Vermont touring artists on stage at the Flynn, up and down the Marketplace, and in venues around the City.
Lewis Franco & the Missing Cats with Will Patton will "scat our way thru some '40s jive" Leunigs Bistro on Church Street on Friday at 2 p.m., then the Will Patton Ensemble, featuring Anna Patton on clarinet, will run down a city block to American Flatbread at 5:30.

ESSEX JUNCTION--On Tap offers Justice all night Friday, then brings out the Contois School of Music Band on stage on Saturday at 5 p.m.
The CSM Band is a live performance band made up of students and teachers of the Contois School of Music. Members include Kaylee Contois, guitars/keyboards/vocals; Trevor Contois, bass guitars/keyboards/vocals; Ian Koeller, drums; Mingo Maquera, guitars/keyboards/vocals; Rosie Newton, keyboards/vocals; Elysia Way, guitars/vocals; and Pete Willett, guitars/vocals.
COVENTRY, VT--Parker Pie Wings presents the Nobby Reed Project on Friday at 8 p.m. The restaurant is located on the Newport State Airport. They offer live music most Wednesday and Friday nights; Friday nights are raw oyster nights.

EAST FAIRFIELD--The Community Center presents the Missisquoi River Band featuring Cindy and Jim Weed and Pat Murphy with special guest Will Patton at the first ever Pizza and Music night on Sunday at 5 p.m. Admission is $7 per person or $20 per family. This is the first of three such events that brings exceptional music and pizza cooked in the outdoor oven together to benefit the Food Shelf.
JOHNSON--The United Church of Johnson presents a God and Country Concert on Sunday, at 4 p.m.
MORRISVILLE--Moog's Place has "live music every night we're open, starting between eight and nine pm" with open mic night scheduled most Thursdays at 8:30 p.m.

FAIRFIELD--The Bent Northrop Memorial Library has Amanda Vella returning with more art. Class will be held today at 3-4:30 p.m. and repeats on Thursdays, June 5 and June 12 at the same time. Participants will focus on creating masks for the spring concert. The class is free, for kids in grades 2-5, and limited to 12. FRANKLIN COUNTY BOOKSHELF
HIGHGATE--The Highgate Free Public Library has listed the summer program including Nature Camp, Art Camp, reading programs and more. Highgate also has free Library Passes for Birds of Vermont Museum, Echo Lake Aquarium & Science Center, Shelburne Farms, Shelburne Museum, Vermont's Historical Society Museum, Vermont State Parks.

SWANTON--The Swanton Public Library has new library card for patrons. Each new card has a scannable barcode that the library reads in to their automated check out system.
The 8 Cuerdas are the married duo American soprano Sarah Cullins and Colombian guitarrist Daniel Gaviria of Burlington. They picked the name for the eight "strings" that make up their two instruments. They love traditional Latin American and Spanish rhythms and folklore.
