More to the point, she is very thankful for all the Summer Music at Grace performers this past year "What a cornucopia of talent! I'm grateful for appreciative audiences and an unparalleled little jewel of a performance space."
Artist Natalie La Rocque is "Blessed with love of my family. Grateful for the love shared with my 12 grandchildren. Appreciative for the AIR Gallery opening in St. Albans. Sincere gratitude for the kindness and love from my family and friends who helped me through a rough time the last year." She is wholeheartedly thankful.
Writer William Penrose is thankful "That I've successfully stolen another year from fate, and so has all my family."
Vermont singer-songwriter Carol Ann Jones is "thankful for friends, family and health as usual, but I'm especially thankful for the great progress we have made in the Music & Memory program for patients with Alzheimer's disease and dementia." She noted that the caring individuals there held successful bake sales and other fundraisers and "got many customized iPods to patients in need." Ms. Jones' supportive friends, family, and fans also helped her raise $875 for Team Fox when she ran the Plattsburgh Half Marathon to raise money for Parkinson's disease research.
She is also very thankful to her fellow Supercharged musicians and especially Andre Maquera at the new West Street Digital recording studio in St. Albans.
Ms. Jones has worked on a personal mission dedicated to friends with Alzheimer's disease and simply friends who have aged. She noted that the music, the arts were able to lift all people's spirits as well as their families' spirits as they reconnected through Song.
"Happy Holidays to everyone!" she said.

AROUND THE COUNTY--Saturday is Small Business Saturday in a town near you. CHRISTMAS GIFTS and EVENTS
Shop and dine in your hometown or downtown St. Albans, with late hours, special pricing (and, in St. Albans) a chance to enter the annual Downtown for the Holidays Raffle with weekly drawings and a $500 cash grand prize. It is free ride day on GMT Transit. Take the bus to local shops in all the communities they serve.
MUSIC--Carol Ann Jones' new CD Christmas in Vermont will be released next week with CD Release shows at The Brick Church Music Series in Williston and The Bliss Room in St. Albans in December. "It's here," she said yesterday. "It will be available very soon on my cdbaby.com site! AND even better, the actual CDs will be available locally and at my CD release/Holiday concerts!"
SWANTON--The Swanton Arts Council's 2016 Handmade Holiday Fair features Christmas arts & craft at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church on Saturday from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. A variety of handmade items will be available from local handcrafters.
SWANTON--Christmas is coming to Swanton with Christmas in the Park on the Village Green on Saturday from 3:30-6 p.m. Santa is bringing it on with horse-drawn wagon rides through the village, refreshments, and the memorial tree lighting, all sponsored by the Swanton Chamber of Commerce. Admission is free.
ST. ALBANS--The eighth annual Festival of Trees hosts a variety of community events throughout the week. Proceeds from this year’s annual auction, and other Festival of Trees events, will benefit the St. Albans Community Arts (SACA). FESTIVAL OF THE TREES
Saturday: The Festival lights up in Taylor Park Saturday at 4:45-6pm. with the blessing of the animals, tree lighting ceremony, hot cider and donuts, visiting with Santa & Mrs. Claus and Christmas caroling.
Tuesday: Holiday Story hour at the St. Albans Library at 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday: FREE holiday movie at the Welden Theater at 6:30 p.m.

ST. ALBANS--Twiggs presents jazz from the Ellen Powell Trio on $4 Friday and musical classics from the Great American Songbook with Bob Boyd Trio on Saturday. Shows begin at 7 p.m.

SOUTH BURLINGTON--Higher Ground presents Quadra plus the Phil Abair Band and Mr. French in the Ballroom on Saturday at 8 p.m.
Formed in late 1982, Quadra is celebrating 35 years of rock solid harmonies, great musicianship together. The show will include rock from the 70s right through the rock of today "for dancing, drinking, and down right misbehaving."
Admission is $12 in advance and $15 day of show.

ST. ALBANS--The Welden Theater hosts a free Holiday Movie at the theater on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. The film will be a "holiday classic, to start the season off right."
