COUNTY-WIDE--The Great and Powerful Penguin Parade project will begin on Saturday in St. Albans at noon sharp and then regroup in East Fairfield to continue at 3 p.m. THE FIRST PARADE OF THE SEASON
Artists in the area have been painting 27" tall Macaroni penguins since January. Some penguins have been on display in both the Meeting House on the Green and St Albans City Hall all month. All will be available for the silent auction at the Meeting House on the Green after the parade.
The St. Albans parade route begins on Stebbins Street and travels up Stebbins to Main Street. On Main Street it turns north to pass the Main Street judging stand at Taylor Park. When it reaches Lower Newton Street the parade turns West and proceeds on Lower Newton Street to reload the flatbed trailers on Federal Street. Penguins will then be trucked to Fairfield for the concluding leg. That route begins at the East Fairfield Covered Bridge, proceeds north on Bridge Street to Route 36. It will pass the judging stand at Stone's Shell and turn down School Street to end at 53 School Street in East Fairfield.
Espace pour la vie Montreal joined the All Arts Council to supply the penguin silhouettes to artists and schools in the county. They will also bring pairs of Gentoo penguins, King penguins, Macaroni penguins, and Northern Rockhopper penguins as well as six Atlantic puffins to serve as grand marshals for the parade on Saturday. click here for more info. click here for more info.
Since 1999, the Space for Life Foundation has taught young and old alike about the environment. It helps to advance natural sciences and science culture educationally, scientifically, culturally, socially and artistically to enhance our natural heritage and stimulate everyone's interest in sustainable development and the preservation of biodiversity.

Today is the deadline for returning the finished penguins to parade organizers and Saturday is the deadline to realize that it is again April 1.

FAIRFAX--Fairfax Community Theater will hold auditions for Little Shop of Horrors at B.F.A. Fairfax on Monday and evenings, both at 6:30 p.m. Callbacks will be Wednesday at 8 p.m. CALL FOR THESPIANS
Plan to come to only one of the audition days but keep the callback time open. Bring dance-appropriate shoes and wear clothing you can easily move in. Auditions will include singing, dancing, and scene readings. Some character age ranges and genders are flexible.
Director Meg Cossaboom says auditions will be workshop-style; there is no need to bring any additional prepared music or monologues. Performances will take place June 29-July 2.

ST. ALBANS--The Holy Trinity Episcopal Church hosts the Arts & Craft Show on Saturday from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. ART TO GO
The show will have a wide variety of handcrafts, artwork, and local edibles including a variety of soups again with both an eating area and to-go containers. Email Heather Buczkowski for more info.
MILTON--The Milton Artists' Guild offers an intermediate level Watercolor Painting Workshop with Instructor Kathleen Berry Bergeron in the Milton Offices Community Room on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. LEARN

ST. ALBANS--Peoples Trust Company hosts a PTC Business Workshop on Facebook Marketing at the bank in Franklin Park West on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Artists in every discipline use Facebook. Panelists Mitch Durfee of Grunts Move Junk, Zach Scheffler of Hike Marketing, and Jay Cummings of Peoples Trust Company will teach this primer with everything you need to know to use Facebook to your best advantage, while also making the best use of your time.

ST. ALBANS--Twiggs presents the Shane Murley Band from Center Point Texas on Friday and John Smyth & Jenn on Saturday with homespun originals. Shows begin at 7 p.m.

ENOSBURG--The Opera House at Enosburg Falls presents Franklin County Voices on Friday at 7 p.m.
The evening of student-created art will feature the winner of the 10-minute playwriting contest, Secrets, by Julia Scott plus poetry, music, and a couple short "Ted Talks" about creating art in the digital age all by talented, creative Franklin County teens.
Admission is by donation.
ST. ALBANS-- ****POSTPONED**** The Saint Albans Museum hosts An Acoustic Evening with Banjo Dan Lindner and Friends in the Bliss Room on Friday at 7 p.m.
The show will featuring Banjo Dan and Willy Lindner (of the Sky Blue Boys) with special guests Jaye Lindner, Lea Menkens, and Karen Pope, in an intimate two-set performance of ballads, vintage country numbers, Civil War-era songs, instrumentals and gospel music. The duo will also perform an original song, "St. Albans Memories" from their most recent album, The Sleeping Sentinel, Songs of Vermont Volume IV.
Admission is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. ST. ALBANS--14th Star hosts the third annual Commemorative Beer Label Launch Party with music and food and beer at the brewery on Saturday at 4-10pm. Dave and Kelly from Hi_Def and Bad Horsey will bring it on. Smokin' Butts Bar-B-Q is bringing the food. 14th Star will release 11 Bravo.
The day will include a silent auction and is a benefit for the Josh Pallotta Fund.
ST. ALBANS--Justice is back! The group will rock Durty Nelly's Irish Pub on Saturday at 9:30 p.m.
Justice is Gary Greeno vocals, guitar, and keys; Rod Bushey, lead guitar; Scott Belisle, bass; and Mike Stella, drums; playing a mix of 70s, 80s 90s and today's dance rock with plenty of energy, flash and flare.
Formerly Club Karib, Durty Nelly's is under new ownership and partially renovated. "As the first band to play this fine establishment, we come to rock and hope you will join us."
Sunday
KEY COLONY BEACH, FL--Four Sheets to the Wind takes over the Key Colony Beach Community Association's Concert in the Park series in Sunset Park on Sunday at 4 p.m.
The four piece dance band plays country, classic rock and blues with guitars, keyboard, bass, harmonica and dobro and three part harmonies.
Concerts in the Park are free concerts sponsored by the KCBCA. Concerts started on Valentine's Day and take place in Sunset Park on most Sunday afternoons. The park has a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean and the setting sun.
Bring a chair or blanket and refreshments. Parking is limited so walking, biking or ride sharing is recommended.
ON THE RADIO--The Young Tradition Touring Group performs on Vermont Public Radio on Sunday at 8-9 p.m.
The live performance and interview on Robert Resnik's All the Traditions will include the Touring Group, artistic leader Pete Sutherland, youth leaders Rose Jackson and Oliver Scanlon, and manager Mark Sustic.
