BOMONT? WHERE THE HECK...

ST. ALBANS--BFA-St. Albans presents Footloose so Bomont moves to the BFA Performing Arts Center for a three-evening run starting tonight and continuing through Saturday at 7 p.m. each evening.
      Imagine a rebellious big city teenager transplanted to a small town where rock music and dancing have been banned. Footloose is a musical based on the 1984 film with music by Tom Snow, lyrics by Dean Pitchford and Kenny Loggins, and a book by Pitchford and Walter Bobbie.
      Mingo Maquera appears as the teenaged Ren and Ellen Allerton as Ariel. Caleb Wills and Holly Sherrer play Ariel's parents, Reverend Shaw Moore and Vi Moore. Siera Schultz, Willard; Rosie Newton, Rusty;  Katie Grubb, Wendy-jo; Lonna Neidig, Ethel McCormack; Jed Christie, Chuck Cranston; Leah Gaboury, Lulu Warnicker; Maya Airoldi, Wes Warnicker; and Brianna Steber, Coach Roger Dunbar, the high school physical education teacher.
      The cast features Kailey Bates, as Eleanor Dunbar; Kristen Harris, Urleen; Cooper Smith, Cowboy Bob; Sara Young and Lianna Roque, Cowgirls Bobbi(s); Samantha Brown, Lyle; Ethan Baker, Travis; Paula Johnson, Principal Harriet Clark; Calvin Tobin, Cop and country fiddler; Gabbi Ward, Betty; Ethan Shannon, Jeter; Katelyn Sanders, Bickle; and Caleb Barrett, Garvin. Julia Scott and Declan Couture are Gym Girl and Gym Boy. The choir is Emily Robtoy, Alison Ireland, Stephanie Bidwell, Benjamin Malone, Kayla Mcartor, Jackson Walsh, and Kamryn Montogue. Rebecca Gabree, Sarafina Paye, Sofia Spano, Christian Rucki, Julia Scott, Ashley Cross, Gianna Roque, and Caleb Barrett are dancers with dance captains Katelyn Sanders and Rebecca Gabree. Lauren Forcier and Rosie Bibona are the Stage Manager and Assistant Stage Manager.

SELL SOME ART ON THE WALLS

ENOSBURG--The Opera House at Enosburg Falls gets revved up with the first major Craft Fair of the season on Saturday from 9 a.m-2 p.m.
      It's the perfect early show to find the perfect holiday gift.


ENOSBURG--The Artists in Residence Gallery is completing its first decade as a cooperative art gallery. To celebrate, they've created a special Celebration Membership program for local artists. The program opens gallery space to display and sell during November and December, the two busiest months, with no work requirement.

SWANTON--The Swanton Arts Council and the Swanton Free Public Library will hold a free Creating Ornaments Workshop on Saturday at 11 a.m.

SWANTON--The Swanton Arts Council will hold a Creative Meeting at the Swanton Village Complex on Monday at 5:30 p.m.
      The SAC group will make items for the $1 table at the Thnaksgiving Swanton Arts & Craft Show. Art offerings also include more bottle cap art as well as a discussion of the NAHS emerging artist award.


ON STAGE LIVE

Friday and Saturday
ST. ALBANS--Twiggs presents Deja Nous with lead vocalist Jean-Jacques Psaute on Friday and Summer Sounds performers Shellhouse on Saturday, both at 7 p.m.
      Deja Nous performs the popular and jazz songs in the "Music Hall" tradition of French Cabaret.
      Shellhouse is an original Vermont band playing family music with Bob Teer, songwriter/guitarist/vocalist; Jim Fox, electric guitar; Andrea Teer, vocals, percussion, and mandolin; Marshall Breakstone, vocals, bass; and Bob DeFeo, drums.
      "Shellhouse plays mostly original rock with an 'Americana' rock, roots and blues sound," Mr. Teer said. They also play covers by artists such as John Hiatt, Van Morrison, Mark Knopfler, John Fogerty, and more. They have two album releases, Boomerang and Indian Summer, and are working on number three.

Saturday
BURLINGTON--Everything's zen when Justice hits the stage at Zen Lounge on Saturday at 8 p.m.
      It's the League's first time at Zen Lounge. Will the nightspot stay laid back? Does Scott Guptill's mantra start with Ommmm? We are ready to turn up the party a notch or two, he said of the group that features Gary Greeno, lead vocals; Scott Belisle on bass and backup vocals; Rod Bushey, lead guitar; Mike Stella, drums; and Mr. Guptill, rhythm guitar and backup vocals.


OF COURSE

ST. ALBANS--This week, Northwest Access TV offers a class called No Excuse, Time to Produce on Thursday at 6 p.m.
      Time to Produce will cover being in front of the camera and everything involved in producing a show, sharing it, and making it a successful program. The cost is $10.


FRANKLIN COUNTY BOOKSHELF

ENOSBURG FALLS--The Enosburg Public Library holds a Coffee and New Books hour on Friday at 11 a.m. Kathe will present this week's new arrivals.
      The Book Discussion Group will meet for a lively discussion of Marie Kondo's The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.


FAIRFAX--The Fairfax Community Library Fiction Book Group will discuss Cold Comfort Farm by Stella Gibbons this evening at 6:30 p.m. Copies are available now at the library.


ST. ALBANS--It's Classic Movie Night at the St. Albans Free Library for State of the Union this evening at 6 p.m.
      The Frank Capra 1948 film with Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy is perfect for this political season. Tracy, a presidential candidate, must navigate the compromises in principles his handlers insist are needed to be elected. Films are shown on the 4' by 6' screen in the upstairs conference room cinema. Admission is free, along with popcorn and beverage.


SWANTON--Tonight, the Swanton Free Public Library hosts the aptly named Any Book Book Club at 6 p.m. "Come in and discuss any good book you've read," Cheryl Messier said.
      The "regular" Book Club will discuss The Girl on the Train on Wednesday, November 18, at 6 p.m. The Hitchcockian thriller is British writer Paula Hawkins' debut novel which started out at number one on the New York Times Fiction Best Sellers list and remained on top for 13 consecutive weeks.
